RGPS Rolls Into Reno With Rings, Big Guarantees, and Passport Season Momentum

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Passport Season is making its way to Reno, Nevada, with a week of tournament action scheduled at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa from February 24 through March 1, 2026.

As the Passport Season continues its nationwide journey, the Reno stop is expected to draw a mix of Northern Nevada regulars and dedicated RGPS travelers chasing rings, points, and sizeable prize pools. With nine RGPS rings up for grabs and multiple marquee events on the schedule, players can expect a packed slate from start to finish.

$800 Main Event Anchors the Series

Taking center stage is the $800 RGPS Passport Reno Main Event, boasting a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool and four Day 1 flights.

The action begins Friday, February 27, with Day 1a kicking off at 11 a.m., followed by Day 1b at 6 p.m. Two additional starting flights run on Saturday, giving players multiple chances to bag chips. Survivors reconvene on Sunday, March 1, for Day 2, where the combined field will battle down to the money, the final table, and ultimately a champion.

The multi-flight format offers flexibility and plenty of opportunity, while the six-figure guarantee ensures there’s plenty at stake when cards are in the air.

PokerNews PowerStack Builds on Early Success

Another highlight of the Reno stop is the $400 PokerNews PowerStack, which carries a $40,000 guarantee and features three starting flights.

Now firmly established as a core event during RGPS Passport Season, the PowerStack blends deep starting stacks with strong value at an accessible buy-in. It also carries added incentive: players earn points toward the PokerNews Tour season-long leaderboard. The top 10 finishers in that race will receive a $1,100 Main Event seat at Thunder Valley, complete with hotel accommodations.

The PowerStack begins February 24 at 11 a.m. with Day 1a, followed by Day 1b on February 25 and a Day 1c flight later that evening. Survivors return Thursday to play down to a winner.

Early stops this season have seen the event consistently surpass its guarantee, further cementing its reputation as one of the most popular tournaments on the RGPS schedule.

A Full Week of Passport Action

With nine rings awarded across the series and two major guaranteed events leading the way, RGPS Reno promises a full week of competitive poker in Northern Nevada. Whether chasing hardware, leaderboard points, or a share of six-figure prize pools, players will find no shortage of opportunity when the Passport Season touches down at Atlantis.
