Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo Claims PokerStars $1,050 SCOOP Warm-Up Main Event Title

The $10 million guaranteed SCOOP Warm-Up festival wrapped up in style on February 16, awarding its Main Event champions after weeks of intense online action on PokerStars. Rising above the competition in the $1,050 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event was none other than Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo, who added another major online title to his already impressive résumé.

Pardo Turns $1,050 Into $57K

A field of 368 entries generated a $368,000 prize pool in the $1,050 Main Event, with $57,427 reserved for the eventual champion. Pardo captured the lion’s share, padding his bankroll just in time for the upcoming 2026 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).

By the time the tournament reached its nine-handed final table, each remaining contender had locked up at least $5,193. Austria’s “wanderer_pro” was the first to depart in ninth, while Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot and “kirdface” followed, earning $6,007 and $8,293 respectively.

Austria’s “Sxmon,” fresh off a victory in the $5,200 Titans event earlier in the series for $67,641, secured sixth place for $11,450 this time around. From there, “9I_TPENIRUIUS” ($15,808), Ukraine’s “Ansel21” ($21,824), and Brazil’s Marcelo “marceloaziz” Aziz ($30,129) fell short of the title, setting up a heads-up clash.

In the final duel, Pardo faced Canada’s “13santoy13.” Pardo ultimately sealed the deal, transforming his $1,050 buy-in into $57,427, while his opponent collected a respectable $41,596 as runner-up.

Six-Figure Payday in the $109 Main Event

The festival also featured a lower buy-in Main Event styled after the ever-popular Sunday Million. The $109 edition attracted a massive 10,426 entries, smashing guarantees and building a $1,042,600 prize pool. A whopping $138,761 awaited the champion.

Romania’s “Serebity_p” exited in ninth for $9,250, the only finalist not to collect a five-figure prize. Belarusian pro Dmitry “yurasov1990” Yurasov bowed out in eighth for $12,976, clearing the path for the remaining contenders.

As eliminations came swiftly, Brazil’s Joao “HayashiJoao” Hayashi turned his $109 buy-in into $35,826, while compatriots “F1oba” ($50,258) and “VelascoNoBad” ($70,505) fell just shy of heads-up play.

The final battle featured Romania’s “Speedy1986” against Argentina’s “obarra7.” Despite a $39,853 gap between first and second place, no deal was struck. “obarra7” ultimately settled for $98,908, while “Speedy1986” captured the title and the $138,761 top prize.
