Toronto, Canada – Canadian poker player Daniel Kwon, also known in the poker world as “Action Dan,” has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual assault-related offenses, according to a statement from the Toronto Police Service.
The 39-year-old poker professional is accused of sexually assaulting at least one woman during an event on January 15. Police say Kwon was taken into custody following a search of his Toronto residence. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information or who may have been a victim to come forward, citing the possibility of additional alleged incidents.

Kwon was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Monday.
Poker Career Background
While Kwon has modest tournament results—just $23,000 in recorded cashes on The Hendon Mob—he is perhaps best known for his high-profile appearances in the 2024 Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game. On back-to-back $1 million buy-in sessions, Kwon suffered major losses totaling $1,408,000, though he did win a $467,000 pot against Peter Wang in one of those events.
Kwon, an internet entrepreneur by trade, has also participated in nearly 30 livestream poker sessions, including a notable win at Poker at The Lodge in Texas where he earned nearly $470,000, much of it from a single $493,500 pot.
Police have not released additional details regarding the alleged sexual assault, and the investigation remains ongoing.
This arrest adds a serious criminal dimension to Kwon’s public profile, far beyond his poker career.
