RunGood Poker Series Brings Passport Season Action to The Lodge Card Club This January

Texas continues to cement its reputation as one of the fastest-growing poker hubs in the country, and the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is the latest major tour set to tap into that momentum. Later this month, RGPS makes its way to The Lodge Card Club in Round Rock, just outside Austin, for a packed festival of tournament poker.

The RGPS Passport Season stop gets underway on January 27, with PokerNews on-site at the newly renovated Lodge to provide live reporting of the Main Event beginning January 29.

Big Tournament Action in the Lone Star State

Over six days, players will compete in seven ring events at The Lodge Card Club, the largest poker room in Texas. Co-owned by Doug Polk, Andrew Neeme, and Brad Owen, The Lodge has quickly become a centerpiece of the state’s booming poker scene.

The series opens with a $200 Seniors Ring Event for players aged 50 and over, offering a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool. Later that same day, the spotlight shifts to the $200 Ambassador Bounty Ring Event, also carrying a $20,000 guarantee. Select ambassadors will hold mystery envelopes containing prizes such as $1,000 cash rewards and RGPS merchandise credits, adding an extra layer of excitement.

On January 28, the $400 PokerNews Deepstack Ring Event takes center stage with at least $20,000 guaranteed. Players who make the money will also earn valuable points toward the PokerNews Deepstack Leaderboard.

Mixed-game fans won’t be left out, either. The schedule includes a $400 Pot-Limit Omaha Ring Event on January 28 and a $400 Big O Ring Event on January 29, both featuring $30,000 guarantees.

$250,000 Guaranteed Main Event

The highlight of the stop is the $600 RGPS Main Event, which boasts a hefty $250,000 guaranteed prize pool. Flight A kicks off at 4:15 p.m. on January 29, followed by two flights per day on January 30 and 31, with start times at 11:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m.

All surviving players will reconvene on February 1 for Day 2 and the final table, where a new RGPS champion will be crowned.

Texas Poker Continues to Surge

Tournament poker in Texas is experiencing a major surge, and the arrival of established tours like the RunGood Poker Series signals even more growth ahead. With strong guarantees, a diverse schedule, and one of the state’s premier venues hosting, the RGPS stop at The Lodge is shaping up to be a marquee event on the early-2026 calendar.

As the Passport Season rolls into Round Rock, all signs point to a standout week of poker that could set the tone for a huge year in Texas.
