Vrakas Shines in Rozvadov as Greek Star Claims WSOPC King’s Resort Main Event

The 2026 World Series of Poker Circuit at King’s Resort has wrapped up in Rozvadov, and it ended with a breakthrough moment for Greece’s Georgios Vrakas. Rising above a massive 692-entry field, Vrakas captured the €1,500 WSOPC Main Event title, earning his first Circuit ring along with a €164,000 payday.

With this victory, Vrakas climbs to fourth place on Greece’s all-time money list, adding another milestone to an already decorated career. The win was the highlight of a 13-day festival packed with action, featuring 12 WSOPC ring events as the Circuit season burst into life at King’s Casino in Czechia.

Vrakas Dominates the Biggest Stage

The €1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event delivered an entertaining finale, culminating in a heads-up clash between Vrakas and final-day chip leader José Gómez Casillas. Vrakas, already known for his major scores—including PokerStars National Championship wins worth €330,000 and €338,000 in Barcelona and Prague back in 2017—added another standout result to his résumé.

The final table showcased true international flavor, with players from seven different countries among the last eight. Czech fans had plenty to cheer for as Roman Papáček and Zdeněk Žižka finished fourth and seventh. Žižka, in particular, capped an outstanding two weeks by following up his WSOP bracelet win in Las Vegas last summer with yet another deep run on home soil.

The tournament concluded in dramatic fashion when Vrakas raised preflop with 6♦5♦ and was instantly shoved on by Casillas holding Q♥J♣. The board ran 6♥4♦3♣K♠A♣, pairing Vrakas and sealing the win. After the final card fell, both players shared a moment of respect as Vrakas was crowned champion.

More Rings, More Drama in Rozvadov

The Main Event wasn’t the only headline-maker during the festival’s closing days. Several other ring events produced first-time champions and career-best scores.

Romania’s Cosmin-Ionuț Nica scored the biggest win of his career in the €3,000 High Roller NLH. Battling through a final table stacked with Italian players, Nica claimed his maiden WSOPC ring and €68,100 after defeating Ersin Sancak heads-up.

Italy soon had a champion of its own as Daniele Sacchi triumphed in the €600 WSOPC 6-Max, collecting €26,240 and his first Circuit ring. Sacchi continues to enjoy remarkable success in Czechia, following recent deep runs in both Rozvadov and EPT Prague.

The festival concluded with Slovenia’s Jan Zupec taking down the €1,000 Bounty Hunter NLH. Zupec earned €22,270 and the final ring of the series, adding to a strong stretch of results that includes major victories at Poker EM 2025 in Velden.
